Because of politicized history accounts in China after 1949 I have little interest in official history books in Chinese. New capital at Luoyang, and so rebelled against the Tuoba, bringing down the Wei Dynasty in 534.*. Source: Patricia Ebrey, The Cambridge Illustrated History of China. Would recommend this to anyone looking for an outline history. Prior to studying in Chicago, she studied Chinese art history at the Graduate Institute of Art History of the National Taiwan University, where she obtained my master's degree with a focus on Chinese painting and a minor on Buddhist art. Not that one reading of 360 odd pages makes for an expert on China. Just read Patricia Buckley Ebrey's 'Cambridge Illustrated History – China' (2nd Edition).
